Prayer as a way of embodying surrender
Bring more moments of prayer into your daily life. When faced with a challenging situation - surrender it up with prayer. Ask for guidance, healing, support. When things are going great - offer up a prayer of gratitude. Of deep thanks and appreciation. When life is somewhere between these poles, pray. Prayer builds a strong connection with ourselves and Divine love. It helps us to feel held when we are afraid, seen when we are lonely and consoled when we are lost.
You do not need to be sitting in any special position or place to commune through prayer. At any time, anywhere - silently or outloud ... let your heart be known.
I often pray in the shower. For many years I have used the prayer from A Course in Miracles:
"What would you have me do?
Where would you have me go?
What would you have me say?
and
To whom would you have me say it?"
This helps inform my alignment with the day. Often at my altar my prayer request is:
"Dear God, please use me as a Divine channel for your love."
This helps me to stay focussed on that which is most important to me. Love.
I encourage you to use these prayers or find your own. And of course ad lib as you need to. BE in conversation with the Divine light of love within you - that is your prayer.
Have a wonderful week and thank you for journeying with me today.
I love you,
